Tallest eggplant ever
Root boxes
I first saw these when I was at Life Lab which is the educational garden program at UC Santa Cruz. This is a wood planter with a hinged wall that allows kids to see the roots of a growing plant. Here are instructions for making one.

really cool.
Cold weather seeds
Last Saturday I planted my first seeds for the new season. I did broccoli, cabbage, chard, and leeks in paper pots.
I direct sowed some lettuce and chioga beets.
More to be planted hopefully very soon.
